The study of the landscape within the Bucium area is concerned
with the processes of organising space and altering the land.
To recover the widest possible range of information, archaeologists
will use a multidisciplinary framework for data recovery and
analysis.
Field excavations will be augmented with techniques borrowed
from the physical sciences. Because the evidence of past landscapes
in the Bucium valley is also preserved aboveground in historical
documents, old maps, photos and oral tradition, the project
will be interdisciplinary both in design and implementation.
